Cherry blossoms are another great flower to add to any Japanese piece. You can use them as motion, use a wind background to push them around or in front of your foreground objects.

They make a great secondary object in any large piece. Colored a lot of ways. I like doing mine flat red or pink, but you can leave skin tone in them, do them in different reds or pinks. Lots of options.

Even a full sleeve of cherry blossoms is really cool because you can do a ton of them, play with different colors, use the background to push them around the piece.
